Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Al Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Leonidas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Al Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, King Leonidas!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonidas lands a two punch combo.
Allen tries to clinch up
and Leonidas counters with a straight right hand.
Leonidas slips under a jab.
Allen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Leonidas.
Allen staying out of range there.
Leonidas throws a hook but Allen avoids it easily.
Allen tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Allen scores with a three punch combo!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Allen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Allen stuffs the takedown.
A combination from Leonidas does no damage.
Leonidas smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Leonidas throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Leonidas throws the left hand but Allen avoids the punch easily.
Allen wants to clinch.

King Leonidas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Allen counters with a solid body kick.
Leonidas is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Leonidas is defended easily by Allen.

enabling Allen to counter with a crisp jab.

Leonidas throws a series of punches but Allen moves out of range.
Allen gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Nice takedown defense from Allen. No joy for Leonidas on that attempt.

Leonidas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Allen as he jumps to the side.
Leonidas steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Allen.
A big left from Allen misses.
Leonidas looks for a takedown but Allen sprawls well.
Leonidas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Allen misses the jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but King Leonidas will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Allen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Allen falls off balance throwing a combination
and Leonidas counters with a right hand to the body.
Leonidas shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Allen defends it nicely.
Leonidas swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Allen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Leonidas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Leonidas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Leonidas misses with a wild combination.
Allen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Leonidas swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Allen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Leonidas goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Leonidas looks to land a combination but Allen avoids it well.
Leonidas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Allen but Allen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Al Allen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Leonidas.
Good exchange - Allen coming out on top.
Allen tries to clinch there but Leonidas circles away.
Allen throws a right and a left that Leonidas avoids nicely.
Allen ducks under a wild hook from Leonidas.
Allen fails in his attempt to clinch.

Leonidas looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Leonidas throws a right and a left that Allen avoids nicely.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Leonidas!
Allen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Leonidas on the side of the head.
Leonidas throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Leonidas lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Leonidas.
Sloppy strikes from Allen. Those never looked like landing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Al Allen will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

King Leonidas is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Allen throws a shot from downtown. Leonidas moves away and avoids it.
Allen dodges the punch combination from Leonidas.
Leonidas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Allen connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
King Leonidas seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Leonidas shoots in but no luck this time.
Allen tries to land a front kick but Leonidas steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Leonidas throws a front kick aimed at Allen's knee but Allen avoids it well.
Leonidas will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Leonidas shoots in for a takedown but Allen shows good takedown defense.
Al Allen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Leonidas.
Leonidas lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Leonidas closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Allen did well to prevent Leonidas getting side control.
Leonidas misses with a head shot. Allen uses the momentum to regain guard.
Leonidas looking to sit in guard and control but Allen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Leonidas looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Allen decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Leonidas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Leonidas misses with a few strikes there.

Leonidas looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Allen is fending him off so far but Leonidas persists. Nope, Allen circles away and we're back to standing.
Allen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Leonidas.
Leonidas lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Allen stalks Leonidas and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Leonidas's face. Leonidas staggers backwards, shaken.
Allen takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Leonidas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A telegraphed right hand from Allen misses the target.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Allen lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Leonidas scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Leonidas closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Allen prevents Leonidas from improving position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Allen regains half guard there - taking advantage of Leonidas's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Leonidas trying to control the action but Allen is working from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight!
King Leonidas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Leonidas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
