Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Takashi Kadota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Siciliano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kadota comes to the ring accompanied by Better With The Lights Off - New Boyz. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takashi Kadota!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fred Siciliano!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kadota connects with an inside leg kick.
Siciliano tries to clinch but Kadota is having none of it.
Nice jab there from Kadota.

Kadota clinches.
Siciliano misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kadota.
Kadota taking a breather.
Kadota is pushing Siciliano up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
A body shot lands from Kadota.
Kadota makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Siciliano is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Kadota gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Siciliano tries to pull guard but Kadota won't allow it.
Kadota lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Kadota lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes.
Kadota stops a takedown attempt from Siciliano.
Takashi Kadota has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fred Siciliano.
Kadota tries to throw a body punch but Siciliano avoids it by throwing Kadota back against the ropes.
Kadota lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Kadota breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kadota lands a jab to the head.

Siciliano gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Kadota is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.
With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Siciliano just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kadota's brow.
A short body shot lands from Kadota as the two fighters clinch.
Siciliano is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kadota pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Kadota has Siciliano pressed against the ropes.
Siciliano wants a takedown.
Kadota lands a shoulder strike.

Kadota's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kadota takes a swing at Siciliano's ribcage but misses.
Siciliano fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kadota.
Siciliano looks to clinch
and Kadota connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kadota keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Siciliano fails with an attempt to clinch.
Siciliano takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Fred Siciliano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kadota shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Siciliano napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Kadota throws an elbow but Siciliano slips to the side and avoids it well.
Siciliano on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Kadota wants to control but Siciliano is keeping him busy.
Kadota cracks Siciliano with a big right hand but Siciliano just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Siciliano strikes from the bottom but Kadota takes advantage and advances to full mount!
Siciliano is in all sorts of trouble here.
Siciliano is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Siciliano avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kadota.
Siciliano flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Kadota throwing shots but Siciliano is blocking nicely.
Kadota lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Siciliano is looking to improve his position.
Kadota has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Siciliano wants to control but Kadota is keeping busy.
Nice strikes from Kadota there.
Siciliano tries to roll over but Kadota keeps him under control.

Siciliano is looking for a sweep. Kadota is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kadota wants to take a breather but Siciliano is having none of it.

Kadota is nestled in close to Siciliano, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Kadota working over Siciliano with some ground and pound. Siciliano looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kadota throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Siciliano is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kadota scores with a couple of nice shots.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kadota moves nicely into side control.
Siciliano is looking for a sweep.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kadota just misses with a punch to the body.
Kadota turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Kadota avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Siciliano is defended easily by Kadota.

Kadota cracks the inside of Siciliano's front leg.
Siciliano is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Siciliano looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kadota uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Kadota lands with a nice body punch.
Siciliano takes one to the side of the head.
Siciliano takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Siciliano chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kadota can pounce on him.
Kadota lands with a shot to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Siciliano walks into a straight right hand from Kadota.
Kadota comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kadota lands a right hook to the body.
Siciliano gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Kadota drives through with a takedown into Siciliano's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Kadota is pushing down on Siciliano's leg trying to pass to half guard. Siciliano is fighting to maintain full guard but Kadota has managed to sneak the leg through.

Siciliano wants to get back to full guard.
Kadota is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Kadota looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Kadota working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Siciliano wants to control but Kadota is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Kadota slips a nice elbow through Siciliano's hands, connecting with Siciliano's forehead.
Siciliano is looking for a sweep. Kadota is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kadota lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Siciliano trying to hold on to Kadota's head to control him but Kadota postures up.
Kadota controlling the pace.
Kadota is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.


Siciliano is rocked!

Siciliano is still in real trouble! Can Kadota finish him?
Kadota seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Siciliano does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kadota works his way into side control.
Takashi Kadota overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kadota looks up at the clock and then as Siciliano takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kadota smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Kadota scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Siciliano is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Kadota can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takashi Kadota!
