Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raphael Paiva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Link Gatez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paiva's entrance music is Breaveheart Soundtrack. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Paiva closes the distance and clinches up with Gatez, looking for a takedown. Paiva pushes Gatez against the cage but Gatez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Paiva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gatez tries to avoid it but Paiva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gatez to the ground. Gatez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gatez has his foot on Paiva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Paiva works his way back into a safe position though.

Paiva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Paiva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
