PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janusz Kaminski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Howard comes to the cage accompanied by My Hero. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaminski doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Howard counters with a single leg into guard. Kaminski didn't expect that.

Kaminski throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Howard escapes and throws Kaminski's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Kaminski is trying to control Howard's posture but Howard avoids it.

Howard seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kaminski for as long as he can get away with.

and Howard counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kaminski won't be happy with that.
Kaminski is pushing Howard's head away, looking to escape. Howard manages to hold on to the position though.
Howard remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Howard has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Kaminski gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Howard to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Howard is trying to trip Kaminski. He has hold of a leg but Kaminski is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Howard persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Howard not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Kaminski is looking for a triangle here but Howard uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
