Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danny Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Rutecki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rutecki has chosen Remember the Name as his entrance music. Dexter Rutecki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dexter Rutecki!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Rutecki misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sanchez throws a head kick but Rutecki moves out of range.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rutecki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sanchez is controlling him.

Sanchez throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rutecki is trying to stand up here but Sanchez is controlling him well.

Rutecki pushes Sanchez off looking to stand but Sanchez dives back in and keeps control.

Sanchez jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Rutecki is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Rutecki and Sanchez has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Rutecki is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sanchez asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Sanchez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rutecki for as long as he can get away with.
Rutecki pushes Sanchez away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Sanchez gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Sanchez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rutecki keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rutecki throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sanchez throws a nice looking combination but Rutecki bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Sanchez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rutecki to the mat! Rutecki manages to get full guard.

The crowd cheers as Sanchez lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rutecki doesn't seem phased though.

Sanchez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rutecki pinned against the cage. Rutecki gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Sanchez is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Rutecki's shoulder. That is not cool.
Sanchez tries to advance to mount but Rutecki denies him.
Rutecki seems a little lost for a moment, as Sanchez dominates the positioning.

Sanchez has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Check out the look on Sanchez's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sanchez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
