The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsdottir is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Nurmi lands a body shot.

Nurmi throws a series of punches but Matsdottir avoids them all with ease.

Matsdottir walks into a jab.
Nurmi swats away the attempt to clinch by Matsdottir.
Nice shot lands for Nurmi.
Nurmi fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Matsdottir on the side of the head.
Nurmi wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Matsdottir feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Nurmis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Nurmi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Matsdottir.
Matsdottir tries to clinch but Nurmi moves out of range.
Nurmi rushes Matsdottir with punches - Matsdottir moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Matsdottir goes down! Nurmi follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
