The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sovan on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Munson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sovan.
Munson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Munson showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Sovan punching from the bottom.
Munson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sovan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sovan.
Sovan is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Munson has his hands clasped together but Sovan extends an breaks Munson's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Sovan.
