The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coll gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Sanders counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Sanders trying to move into half guard but instead Coll has managed to sweep!
Sanders avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Sanders controls Coll momentarily but Coll frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Coll with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Coll thows a big elbow that misses.
Sanders knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Coll on the ground.
Coll with a flurry of punches that miss.
Coll lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Sanders pulls Coll in close to his closed guard and prevents Coll from doing any damage or advancing position.

Coll makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Sanders has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Sanders has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Joe Sanders wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Sanders counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Coll!
Coll wants to hold on but Sanders pushes him away.
Sanders has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Coll's face.
Sanders throwing strikes but Coll bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top.
Sanders looking to sit in guard and control but Coll gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coll accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Coll wants to control from the top but Sanders keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Sanders throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Coll tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sanders is in Coll's guard.
