The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miyagi throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Miyagi sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Chavez lands with a straight right. Miyagi didn't see that one coming.
It looks like Daisu Miyagi has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Miyagi misses with an uppercut. Chavez saw that one coming.
Chavez throws a big shot that misses.
Chavez checks the leg kick nicely there.
Miyagi tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Oooooh!!! Chavez has knocked Miyagi down with a huge combo! Chavez steps away and waves a wobbly Miyagi back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Miyagi is rocked!
Miyagi gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Chavez gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Miyagi is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Miguel Chavez!
