Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steve Fontana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isiah Kemp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fontana comes into the arena with Queensryche - Silent Lucidity blaring out of the sound system. Steve Fontana had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Fontana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Isiah Kemp!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kemp tries to bum rush Fontana with a series of wild strikes but Fontana uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kemp throws a head kick but Fontana moves out of range.
Fontana tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kemp paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fontana connects with the punch.
Kemp throws a leg kick
and Fontana counters with a straight right hand.
Fontana shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kemp but Kemp pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kemp gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Fontana counters with a nice uppercut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fontana.
Isiah Kemp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fontana throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Kemp's head.
Fontana keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kemp throws a jab when Fontana was well out of range.
Kemp takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kemp enables Fontana to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kemp manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Fontana gets to his feet. Kemp looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Fontana takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Fontana punishes Kemp's body with a nice straight punch.

and Fontana counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kemp's knee momentarily.
Kemp fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Fontana smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Kemp tries to sprawl but Fontana drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Kemp drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Kemp swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Fontana counters with a shoot takedown. Kemp fights it but they end up in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kemp missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Fontana tries to clinch up but Kemp circles away and keeps his distance.

Fontana steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kemp.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Fontana checks a leg kick.

Fontana jumps guard and drags Kemp to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Fontana wants to stand up but Kemp is controlling him.

Fontana wants to sweep here but Kemp controlling him for the moment.
Kemp passes Fontana's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kemp decides to stand and escape the position.

Kemp tries to keep at a distance but Fontana has taken the fight into the clinch.
Fontana keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kemp's efforts to push away.
Kemp is looking to break free of the clinch but Fontana has double underhooks.

Fontana bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Kemp throws a chopping leg kick but Fontana manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

letting Fontana counter with a right hand.

Kemp shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fontana but Fontana pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fontana scores with a one two! Kemp had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Isiah Kemp is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Fontana connects with a right that clearly hurt Kemp. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Fontana proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Kemp collapses and taps out under the pressure!
