Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Ak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Sloane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sloane has chosen Beautiful as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Ak.
Ak is looking to land body kicks.
Sloane is looking to clinch but Ak is avoiding it.
Ak misses the shot to the body.

Ak shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sloane manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Ak tries to free his leg and advance position but Sloane is retaining full guard.
Ak controls from within his opponent's guard.
Ak pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sloane is keeping the position for now.
Ak is working hard here to advance position.
Ak postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Ak drops back looking for a leg! Sloane is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sloane manages to kick Ak off! Ak jumps back into Sloane's guard.

Ak scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Ak might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Sloane avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Ak.

Ak goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sloane has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ak but great work by Sloane.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ak is trying to improve his position.
A lull in the action here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ak looks to move to half guard but instead Sloane has passed into mount! Damn!

Ak walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sloane checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Ak throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sloane fails with an attempt to clinch.

Ak drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Ak thows a big elbow that misses.
Ak tries to free his leg and advance position but Sloane is retaining full guard.
Ak missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Ak is looking to work some ground and pound but Sloane has wrist control.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ak's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Ak wants to pass the guard but Sloane is keeping the position.
Ak trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Sloane manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Ak looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sloane is one step ahead there.

Ak is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sloane defends well.

Ak had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sloane defends it easily.
Sloane must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Ak is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sloane is aware though and is defending well.

Ak has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sloane can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sloane gets to his feet. Ak looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Sloane has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Ak throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sloane tries to clinch there but Ak circles away.
Kurt Sloane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sloane closes the distance looking to clinch
and Ak counters with a nice body shot.

Sloane tries to sprawl but Ak drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Ak trying to control the action but Sloane is working from the bottom.
Ak is looking to advance position but Sloane won't allow it.
Ak thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sloane is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ak connects with a nice short shot to Sloane's temple.
Sloane is breathing heavily.
Sloane is in trouble now - Ak has advanced to mount!
Ak thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Ak with the ground and pound from mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ak unloading with bombs!

Sloane is rocked!
Ak cracks Sloane with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
