Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maracic throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Munoz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Maracic is in Munoz's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Maracic tries to free his leg and advance position but Munoz is retaining full guard.
Maracic trying to control but Munoz is working from the bottom.
Maracic looking to sit in guard and control but Munoz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Maracic working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Munoz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Munoz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Maracic had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Munoz defends it easily.
Munoz is looking to work some ground and pound but Maracic has wrist control.

Munoz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Munoz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Maracic has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Munoz has managed to get both his arms back between Maracic's legs - danger averted.

BOOM! Munoz connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Maracic is in a horrible position here. Munoz smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.


It looks like Joe Maracic has been cut.
The referee warns Maracic that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Maracic regains half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Maracic wants to control but Munoz is keeping busy.

Munoz is trying to work for a kimura but Maracic is defending well.

Munoz is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Maracic is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Munoz pulls his head out easily.

Munoz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Maracic with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Munoz is working for a submission of some sort.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Maracic is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Munoz takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Maracic closes this distance looking for a takedown but Munoz circles away.
Mark Munoz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Munoz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Maracic tries to avoid it but Munoz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Maracic to the ground. Maracic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Maracic stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Maracic wants it to stay on the feet.
