The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
JurJok is trying hard to land a takedown here. Scholaschi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from JurJok.
JurJok throws a half hearted mid kick.
JurJok tries for a takedown but Scholaschi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Scholaschi tries to bum rush JurJok with a series of wild strikes but JurJok uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
JurJok shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Scholaschi defends it nicely.
Scholaschi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Scholaschi fails to land with a series of punches.

Scholaschi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck JurJok on the side of the head.

JurJok shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Scholaschi but Scholaschi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Scholaschi scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Scholaschi shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. JurJok eats them both and turns towards Scholaschi to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Scholaschi throws a sloppy head kick and JurJok moves out of range easily.
JurJok gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! JurJok tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Scholaschi is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and JurJok buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves JurJok!! JurJok is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Scholaschi throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peter Scholaschi!
