The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgoslepov misses with an uppercut. Shinobi saw that one coming.
Sloppy strikes from Morgoslepov. Those never looked like landing.
Morgoslepov throws a sloppy head kick and Shinobi moves out of range easily.
Morgoslepov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Morgoslepov counters with a head kick that drops Shinobi to the mat! Shinobi scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shinobi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Morgoslepov sprawls well initially but Shinobi persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Shinobi is working an open guard so Morgoslepov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
