The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercer scores with a punch to the head.

It looks like Tong Po has been cut.
Po misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Po tries to clinch but Mercer moves out of range.
Po doesn't manage to clinch there - Mercer circles away.
Mercer throws a left and a right that both miss
and Po counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Mercer is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Po tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mercer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mercer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Mercer goes for a takedown attempt but Po pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ray Mercer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Po looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Po seems to be stalking Mercer here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Mercer drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
