Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Stanislav Krauss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Savchuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stanislav Krauss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Roman Savchuk!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Savchuk dives in and scores a takedown into Krauss's guard.
Savchuk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Savchuk not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Savchuk's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Savchuk must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Roman Savchuk hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Krauss moves to clinch but Savchuk breaks away

and Savchuk counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Krauss throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Savchuk controls from within his opponent's guard.
It looks like Savchuk might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Roman Savchuk was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Krauss gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Savchuk counters with a shoot takedown. Krauss fights it but they end up in guard.

Savchuk slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Krauss is letting Savchuk control him for a moment.
Krauss tries to buck Savchuk off but Savchuk is having none of it.

I really don't envy Krauss right now.

Savchuk keeps control of the position easily here as Krauss tries to buck him off.

Krauss breaks Savchuk's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Krauss is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Savchuk is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Savchuk has escaped and now he's on top!

Krauss has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Savchuk is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Krauss.
Savchuk takes a little break here. Krauss wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Savchuk has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Savchuk is looking to take a break and control but Krauss is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Krauss throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stanislav Krauss. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Savchuk is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Krauss is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Savchuk rolls with it to try and escape but Krauss cranks on the arm and Savchuk is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
