The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darling throws a shot from downtown. Mendes moves away and avoids it.
Darling swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Darling looks to throw the jab but Mendes is out of range.
Darling throws a jab when Mendes was well out of range.
The crowd cheers as Darling lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mendes doesn't seem phased though.
Darling misses with a straight right.
Mendes fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Mendes takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Darling fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mendes looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Darling throws a right and a left that Mendes avoids nicely.
Darling ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Darling clobbers Mendes with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Mendes is rocked!
Darling cracks Mendes on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Mendes falls backwards against the ropes. Darling follows up with more strikes that drop Mendes to his knees. Darling keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Mendes! This one is all over!
