Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Brookins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harrison has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Jack Harrison acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Harrison!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brookins throws a leg kick that is checked
and Harrison counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Brookins closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Brookins is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Harrison has escaped the position, nice work there.
Brookins postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
A lull in the action here.
Brookins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Brookins landing strikes.
Harrison prevents Brookins from moving into mount.
Brookins happy to just control the position for now.

Brookins thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Brookins tries to advance to mount but can't.

Brookins works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
A lull in the action here as Brookins stalls from top position.

Brookins is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Harrison is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brookins takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Brookins goes for an armbar but Harrison turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Harrison.
Brookins wants to sweep here but Harrison controlling him for the moment.

Brookins is looking for a triangle but Harrison pushes his legs off easily.

Brookins pulls Harrison in to control the position.
Brookins's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Harrison won't allow Brookins to sweep him here.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Brookins holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Paul Brookins.
Brookins throws a low kick but it's checked well by Harrison.
Harrison is looking to land body kicks.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Harrison enables Brookins to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Harrison manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Harrison has momentary wrist control but Brookins slips an elbow through the middle.

Harrison can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Brookins controls the pace.
Brookins has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Brookins shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Harrison is trying to defend but Brookins finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Harrison tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Brookins presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Brookins content just to control the position here.
Brookins breaks from Harrison's wrist control and lands an elbow.
BOOM! Brookins connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Brookins lands a heavy elbow.
Brookins has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Harrison's face.


Harrison is rocked!

That's seven minutes gone in the round.
Brookins unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Harrison wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Brookins celebrates on the ropes and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Brookins!
