The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walton tries for a takedown but Szymanski circles away easily
and Szymanski counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Walton darts in and clinches Szymanski up against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Szymanski rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Walton moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Walton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Szymanski tries to avoid it but Walton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Szymanski to the ground. Szymanski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Walton takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Walton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
