Ralph O Briar has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ralph O Briar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Cole!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Briar looks to score with a jab to the body but Cole is just out of range.
O Briar keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cole.
A big right from Cole misses.
Cole avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
O Briar throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A decent looking body kick lands there for O Briar.
O Briar gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Cole takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Cole tries to keep at a distance but O Briar has taken the fight into the clinch.
O Briar pushes Cole back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Cole fails to pull guard.

Cole tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. O Briar smiles and moves away.
Cole walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
O Briar sizes up Cole with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
O Briar feints and then cracks Cole's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cole down.
Cole takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Cole uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before O Briar has time to react.
O Briar rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Cole counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

O Briar misses with a shot to the body

Cole uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by O Briar.
O Briar scores with a spinning back kick!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
O Briar looks to throw the jab but Cole is out of range.
Cole avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
O Briar misses with a low kick.
Cole blocks a jab.
O Briar lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Cole throws out a loose jab but O Briar uses good head movement to avoid it.

O Briar thows a body shot but no joy.
O Briar throws a body punch but Cole moves out of range.
O Briar looks to score with a jab to the body but Cole is just out of range.
O Briar is looking to slow Cole down with leg kicks.
O Briar throws a leg kick which misses Cole's front leg but catches the back leg as Cole tries to avoid it.
O Briar bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

O Briar throws a hook but Cole avoids it easily.
Ralph O Briar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cole bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
O Briar thows a body shot but no joy.
Cole connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
O Briar looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Cole has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from O Briar finds it's way round the side to connect with Cole's head.
O Briar bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cole's head backwards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cole uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by O Briar.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
O Briar throws a shot from downtown. Cole moves away and avoids it.
Cole throws an overhand right that lands on O Briar's shoulder, as O Briar tries to avoid the shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ralph O Briar dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Cole counters with a right hand to the body.
Cole misses with a wild body shot.
Ralph O Briar is winning the standup battle so far.

O Briar closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cole quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Cole looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Cole wants to improve his position but O Briar is controlling well.
O Briar is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
O Briar wants to control but Cole is keeping him busy.
O Briar throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Still in half guard, O Briar seems content to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

O Briar is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
O Briar thows a huge punch but Cole dodges it nicely.

O Briar is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cole doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time O Briar.
O Briar is trying to control the action in half guard but Cole is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

O Briar passes the guard and advances to mount!
O Briar with shots to the head and body - Cole looks very uncomfortable down there.
Cole is squirming around, avoiding O Briar's attempts to control the action.
O Briar lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Cole hang on?
Cole wants to control but O Briar is having none of it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
O Briar lands a heavy elbow.

Cole is rocked!
O Briar postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Cole badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of O Briar around the waist but O Briar pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! O Briar is the winner by TKO! O Briar jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
