Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hovanes Avelyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Avelyan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Take him outh.. Santiago is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Asesinos - Los Crudos. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Santiago moves away from the strike by Avelyan.

Avelyan lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Avelyan.
Santiago has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Santiago has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Avelyan doesn't defend quickly enough and Santiago has managed to lock this one up! Can Avelyan escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Santiago on a fantastic submission victory.
