Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zekariays Solomon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gregory Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Sanchez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Solomon clobbers Sanchez with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Sanchez walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Solomon moves into range and clinches up with Sanchez.
Sanchez tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Sanchez goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A right hand to the body from Solomon.
A left hand lands to the body for Solomon.
Solomon digs a right hand underneath Sanchez's ribcage. Sanchez let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Solomon scores with a nice hook to the head.
Solomon lands a body punch in the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Solomon tightens his grip and picks Sanchez up, before dumping him to the ground. Sanchez manages to land in guard.
Sanchez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Solomon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Solomon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Solomon's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Solomon stands and throws Sanchez's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Sanchez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Solomon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Solomon's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Solomon pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Solomon lands a heavy elbow.
Sanchez takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Sanchez ducks right into an uppercut from Solomon.
Solomon connects with a body shot that sends Sanchez's belly button to the back.
Solomon lunges at Sanchez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sanchez's hand.
Sanchez has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sanchez there as he acknowledges the shot.
Solomon tests Sanchez's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Solomon scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Solomon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sanchez can do to turn this around?
Solomon takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Sanchez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Sanchez is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Solomon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Sanchez has momentary wrist control but Solomon slips an elbow through the middle.

Solomon thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Solomon passes Sanchez's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Solomon is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sanchez sees it coming and defends easily.

Solomon is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Solomon fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Solomon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Solomon stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Solomon.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Solomon has hold of Sanchez's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Sanchez seems comfortable defending it but Solomon has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Sanchez is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Sanchez is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Solomon couldn't care less - he's delighted!
