The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fails with an attempt to clinch.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Smith looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Smith persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva looks to score with a jab to the body but Smith is just out of range.
Smith is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Smith misses with a low kick as Silva jumps back.
Smith takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Smith stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Silva.
A decent looking cross lands there for Silva.
Smith shoots in but no luck this time.

and Silva counters with a nice body shot.
A nice combination there by Silva.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smith.
Davi Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chuck Smith.
Smith on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Silva. Silva obviously looking to wear him down.

and Silva counters with a right hand to the body.

Silva throws a combination. Smith tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Smith blocks a head kick by Silva.
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Silva finish him?
It's a brutal combination of punches from Silva! Smith is backing up but he can't get away as Silva lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Smith and ends the fight. Great knockout.
