Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Rhodes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Austin comes to the ring accompanied by shattered dreams. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin misses with a takedown attempt - Rhodes sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rhodes tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Austin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Rhodes uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Rhodes has Austin pressed against the ropes, preventing Austin from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Austin throws a hook to the side of Rhodes's head but Rhodes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Austin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rhodes tries to avoid it but Austin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rhodes to the ground. Rhodes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Austin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Austin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rhodes pinned against the ropes. Rhodes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rhodes leaves Austin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Austin is breathing heavily.
Austin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rhodes tries to avoid it but Austin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rhodes to the ground. Rhodes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rhodes takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Austin swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Austin goes for a takedown attempt but Rhodes pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Nice uppercut lands for Rhodes. That snapped Austin's head back.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Austin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rhodes's waist but Rhodes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Austin off to one side.

Rhodes clinches.
Austin is trying to drag Rhodes to the mat but Rhodes just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Austin. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Austin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rhodes walks away with a smile on his face. Austin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
