PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Di Pretty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josef Manuel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Di Pretty had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Josef Manuel told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manuel sizes up Pretty with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Manuel scores with a three punch combo!
The crowd cheers as Manuel lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pretty doesn't seem phased though.
Pretty is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pretty misses with an uppercut. Manuel saw that one coming.
A big left from Pretty misses.
Pretty moves in looking to clinch but Manuel pushes him off.
A nice inside leg kick there by Manuel. That's going to slow Pretty down.
Manuel avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Manuel lands a body shot.
Manuel cracks Pretty with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pretty is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Manuel.

Manuel throws a sloppy head kick and Pretty moves out of range easily.

Manuel digs a good hook to Pretty's body.
Manuel feints with a jab and clips Pretty right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Pretty is sent crashing into the canvas and Manuel leaps in for the kill! Pretty tries to get to his feet but Manuel is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Pretty is in need of a savior and steps in!
