Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rixson Gionet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Gionet wants to clinch up but Williams keeps it at a distance.
Gionet closes this distance looking for a takedown but Williams circles away.

Williams is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Gionet moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Williams.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Gionet takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Williams is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gionet is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Williams to the mat. Williams regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Gionet is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Williams wants to sweep but no luck.

Gionet drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gionet jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
