Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plouffe connects with a right hand. st piere shakes it off.
st piere shoots in looking for a takedown but Plouffe manages to keep the fight standing, pushing st piere's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Plouffe misses with a jab, cross combination.
Andre Plouffe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
st piere shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Plouffe defends it nicely.

Andre Plouffe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George st piere.

Plouffe instigates a clinch.
st piere has Plouffe pressed against the cage, preventing Plouffe from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
st piere goes for a takedown attempt but Plouffe pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Plouffe moves into range and clinches up with st piere.

Plouffe looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Plouffe pushes st piere back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Plouffe has had enough of the clinch but st piere keeps him there for the moment.

Plouffe lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Plouffe feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends st piere sprawling to the canvas! st piere rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Plouffe finish him?!

st piere is rocked!

It looks like George st piere has been cut.
Plouffe measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes st piere! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
