Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Royce Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herman shoots in looking for a takedown but Gracie manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Herman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Horrible takedown by Herman or perhaps it was just good defense by Gracie which made him look bad.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Gracie tries to reverse the position but Herman maintains control.

The referee warns Gracie that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Herman has the hooks in. Gracie is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Herman is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Gracie defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gracie wants to control his opponent's hands but Herman gets his hands free.
Gracie is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Gracie is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Herman gets his way!
Herman is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Gracie is defending well though. Herman let's go of the attempt for now.

Gracie tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gracie bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Gracie decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Herman shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gracie is trying to defend but Herman finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Herman throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Gracie has his hands clasped together but Herman breaks the hold and Gracie is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Herman!
