The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kahn thows a left - swing and a miss!

Kahn tries to close the distance and clinch but Hjelmslev swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Hjelmslev swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kahn.
Hjelmslev fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kahn.
Hjelmslev cracks Kahn with a right hand to the side of the head.
Hjelmslev smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Hjelmslev.

Hjelmslev catches Kahn with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Hjelmslev's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kahn under the eye.

Hjelmslev lands a nice looking kick to the body. Kahn takes a step back to recover.
Hjelmslev turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Kahn on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Hjelmslev changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hjelmslev doesn't manage to clinch there - Kahn circles away.

Hjelmslev moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Hjelmslev lands a really nice looking cross but Kahn seems unphased.
Kahn takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Hjelmslev lands with an uppercut that bounces Kahn off the cage and back into rage.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kahn crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hjelmslev - the referee stops the clock and Kahn gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hjelmslev. Kahn manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Kahn is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Hjelmslev is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kahn had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Hjelmslev slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Hjelmslev moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kahn takes a kick to the side of the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hjelmslev connects with a single shot there.
Oh Kahn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hjelmslev cracks Kahn with a hook to the temple - Kahn is on wobbly legs here! Hjelmslev swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Kahn falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Hjelmslev wins by TKO!
