Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Kenny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hulk Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steve Kenny!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hulk Hogan!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kenny throws a leg kick but Hogan sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Hogan shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kenny displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hogan.
Hogan moves away from the strike by Kenny.
Hogan jabs at Kenny's body.
Kenny drops his hands momentarily and Hogan takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Hogan tries to clinch there but Kenny circles away.

and Kenny counters with a nice body shot.

Kenny avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hogan fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
The fighters circling - Hogan throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hogan fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hulk Hogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hogan scores with a hook to the body. Kenny takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Hogan fails with a takedown attempt.
Steve Kenny has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hulk Hogan.
Hogan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kenny pushes Hogan away with a front kick.
Hogan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hogan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hogan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kenny's waist but Kenny gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hogan off to one side.

Kenny closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hogan did well to prevent Kenny getting side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kenny drops an elbow to the side of Hogan's head.
Hogan blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kenny.
Hogan looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kenny trying to control from half guard but Hogan is working away.

Kenny takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Kenny scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Kenny looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hogan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kenny has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kenny lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kenny lands a nice short elbow.
Kenny landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Hogan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kenny connects with a nice short shot to Hogan's temple.
Kenny takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.


It looks like Hulk Hogan has been cut.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kenny is thwarting Hogan's attempts to control the position.
Kenny is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.


Hogan is rocked!
Hogan trying to control but Kenny postures up.
Kenny lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Hogan is still in real trouble! Can Kenny finish him?

Hogan actively working from the bottom here.
Hogan seems to have recovered his senses.
Hogan is looking to improve his position.
Hogan looks gassed!
Kenny moves into full mount! Hogan won't be happy about that!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kenny breaks from Hogan's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Kenny is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Hogan goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Kenny!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Steve Kenny!
