Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zeit Ramsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Smalls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Columbo Gatti and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smalls tries to bum rush Ramsey with a series of wild strikes but Ramsey uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A big right from Ramsey misses.
Some wild striking there from Ramsey.
Ramsey fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ramsey throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Smalls scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Ramsey throws a combination that misses
and Smalls counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Smalls tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ramsey swivels and escapes.
No joy there for Smalls, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smalls circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ramsey looks to land a combination but Smalls avoids it well.
Smalls scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Zeit Ramsey has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Smalls counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ramsey is breathing heavily.
Ramsey has managed to clinch.

Ramsey throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Smalls blocks it with crossed arms.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Smalls as Ramsey tries to tie him up.
Smalls wants a takedown but no success here.
Ramsey is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Smalls is defending well for now.
Smalls is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ramsey gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Zeit Ramsey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reggie Smalls.

Ramsey throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Smalls drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ramsey pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ramsey on the wrong end of a nice hook.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Smalls checks a leg kick.
Ramsey throws out a leg kick but Smalls moves out of range and Ramsey only half commits.
Ramsey moves into range and clinches up with Smalls.
Ramsey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Smalls changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ramsey looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Smalls tries for a kimura but Ramsey is defending well.
Ramsey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smalls on the ground.
Smalls is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ramsey is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ramsey gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Ramsey stops Smalls from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Smalls has hold of Ramsey's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ramsey manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Smalls is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Smalls extends the arm and Ramsey is forced to tap!
