Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Tuphuria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Tuphuria!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin White!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Eddie Farnsworth and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tuphuria misses with a lunging right hand

and White counters by clinching up.
Tuphuria stalling.

White breaks from the clinch.
Tuphuria shoots for a double leg takedown but White sprawls well. He's pushed Tuphuria's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

White shoots in and bounces Tuphuria off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Tuphuria is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Tuphuria wants to control the position but White says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

White tries to stand and escape but Tuphuria is controlling the position.

White seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
White throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Tuphuria is refusing to be controlled, as White sits in half guard.
Tuphuria won't allow White to pass to mount.

White is looking to take a break and control but Tuphuria is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kevin White.
White changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tuphuria tries to avoid it but White manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tuphuria to the ground. Tuphuria escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

White decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Tuphuria tries to kick White off but White keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Tuphuria is looking for a sweep. White is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Tuphuria is breathing heavily.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Tuphuria is doing well to control the position and prevent White from advancing to side control.
White is controlling the pace.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kevin White was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Tuphuria tries to sprawl but White drives through with a takedown into half guard.

White is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Tuphuria is trying to get back to full guard.
White trying to mount his opponent but Tuphuria defends it.

White is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tuphuria defends it well.
White trying to advance position but Tuphuria counters by regaining guard.
White wants to pass the guard but Tuphuria is keeping the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
White throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tuphuria works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
White thows a big elbow that misses.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


White fails with a takedown attempt.
White changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tuphuria tries to avoid it but White manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tuphuria to the ground. Tuphuria escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tuphuria lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Tuphuria shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as White sprawls well. White wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tuphuria gets slowly back to his feet.
White shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
David Tuphuria has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin White.
White circles away from the clinch attempt
and White counters with a nice uppercut.

White clinches.
Tuphuria drops down looking for an ankle pick but White pulls his leg out and moves away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A nice inside leg kick there by White. That's going to slow Tuphuria down.
White doesn't manage to clinch there - Tuphuria circles away.

White looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
White wants to control from the top but Tuphuria keeps moving.
White might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Tuphuria kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tuphuria is trying to control the position but White postures up.
Tuphuria is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because White is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from White is defended easily by Tuphuria.
White tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tuphuria swivels and escapes.
White shoots in for a takedown but Tuphuria shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice takedown defense from Tuphuria. No joy for White on that attempt.

White sizes up Tuphuria with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
White swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No luck with that takedown attempt from White.

White clinches.
White has Tuphuria pushed against the cage.
Tuphuria is trying to force a seperation but White has the dominant position.
White lands with a short shot to the head.
White is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Tuphuria misses with a hook from the clinch.

A nice glancing elbow lands by White.
White tries to score a body lock takedown but Tuphuria shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Tuphuria tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Tuphuria fails to pull the fight into his guard.
White is working for takedown but Tuphuria is calmly controlling the position for now.

White manages to pull guard.

White wriggles free and stands up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
White plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

White moves into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kevin White showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Tuphuria wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.

Tuphuria is looking to advance position but White has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Tuphuria might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, White cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Tuphuria is desperately trying to improve his position but White has a good base and remains in mount.
White trying to control but Tuphuria is having none of it.
You get the feeling that Tuphuria really doesn't like being in this position too much.
White scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Kevin White has got the better of the ground game so far.
White wants to control the pace but Tuphuria is squirming around nicely.
White controlling his opponent.

White trying to control but Tuphuria is having none of it.
White lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
White controlling the pace for now.
White can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tuphuria is looking to escape.

White lands a nice shot to the head.
White looking to control but Tuphuria is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
White lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
White with good strikes from the mount here!

White has hold of Tuphuria's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tuphuria manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Tuphuria is trying to reverse the position but instead White has taken his back - oops!

White looking for the choke from the back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

White is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Tuphuria won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips White off his unconscious opponent!
