Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zé Jiurgite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Balrog Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Expendables - "Bridges Burned" kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jiurgite with a nice cross.
Jiurgite swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jiurgite punishes Johnson's body with a nice straight punch.
Johnson gets caught flat footed, as Jiurgite shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Jiurgite wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position.
Johnson wants to stand and escape but Jiurgite is having none of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Zé Jiurgite just wasn't active enough.
Jiurgite changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to avoid it but Jiurgite manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson to the ground. Johnson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jiurgite shoots in looking for a takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl out of it but Jiurgite keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Johnson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jiurgite fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Johnson manages to avoid it.
The crowd cheers as Jiurgite lands an impressive looking overhand right. Johnson doesn't seem phased though.

A right-left combo lands from Jiurgite.
Johnson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Jiurgite is out of range and Johnson settles back down.
Jiurgite wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Johnson connects with a body shot that sends Jiurgite's belly button to the back.
Johnson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fighters circling - Johnson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Johnson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jiurgite.
Johnson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Jiurgite misses with a hook. Johnson ducked under it nicely.

Johnson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jiurgite doesn't seem bothered though.
Horrible takedown by Jiurgite or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson which made him look bad.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Jiurgite throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Johnson was covering up waiting for the punch and Jiurgite finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Jiurgite stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jiurgite is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Johnson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Jiurgite closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

That was a close second round but I would say that Zé Jiurgite will probably get the nod.

Balrog Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Jiurgite fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Johnson sprawls well initially but Jiurgite persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well Jiurgite has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Zé Jiurgite was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
