Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Buhawi Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luiz Gonzaga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack comes to the cage accompanied by enter sandman. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Buhawi Jack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Luiz Gonzaga!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzaga with a lazy takedown attempt
and Jack counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Gonzaga moves out of range of the body kick from Jack.
Gonzaga on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Jack wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Jack slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Jack moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Gonzaga avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jack throws a combination. Gonzaga tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Jack lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jack tries to bum rush Gonzaga with a series of wild strikes but Gonzaga uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Some bone on bone action there as Gonzaga checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Gonzaga gets tackled into the cage by Jack. Jack maintains the clinch.

Jack's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sloppy strikes from Jack. Those never looked like landing.
Jack lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Jack is working the combinations to good effect here.

Jack closes the distance and pushes Gonzaga back into the cage.
Gonzaga goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jack prevents it.
Buhawi Jack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luiz Gonzaga.

Gonzaga has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jack avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A left and a right from Jack both land. Nice combination.
Gonzaga is trying desperately to land a takedown but Jack is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Gonzaga.

Jack misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jack finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Jack slaps away a takedown attempt from Gonzaga, before circling back to the center of the mat.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Jack takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Jack fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Jack throws a leg kick but Gonzaga sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Gonzaga gets tackled into the cage by Jack. Jack maintains the clinch.
Gonzaga drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jack pulls his leg out and moves away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gonzaga.

and Gonzaga takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Jack counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Jack takes the fight into the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jack pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Jack works Gonzaga's body with a nice hook.
A head kick by Jack misses

and Gonzaga counters with a single leg into guard. Jack didn't expect that.

Gonzaga is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Jack is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Gonzaga trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Gonzaga throws a big right hand that misses.

Jack has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gonzaga can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jack is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gonzaga is aware though and is defending well.
Jack is breathing heavily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gonzaga gets to his feet. Jack looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Gonzaga takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Jack turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Jack digs a good hook to Gonzaga's body.
Jack misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Jack darts in and clinches Gonzaga up against the cage.
Jack wants to break the clinch but can't.

Jack breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gonzaga avoids the head kick by Jack.
Gonzaga shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Jack lands with a kick to the temple. Gonzaga shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Jack misses with a kick to the body.
Gonzaga will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Gonzaga shoots in for a takedown but Jack shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Buhawi Jack is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Jack feints a jab promting Gonzaga to slip. Jack then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gonzaga slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Jack shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gonzaga eats them both and turns towards Jack to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Jack is looking to wear down Gonzaga with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Gonzaga drops his hands momentarily and Jack takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Jack shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gonzaga eats them both and turns towards Jack to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

A looping hook to the body misses from Jack. Gonzaga does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Jack counters with a three punch combo that has Gonzaga backing up. Gonzaga nods at Jack to acknowledge the strikes.
Jack goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Jack feints a jab promting Gonzaga to slip. Jack then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gonzaga slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Buhawi Jack dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Gonzaga is breathing heavily.

Jack paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Gonzaga takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Gonzaga shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jack pinned against the cage. Jack gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Buhawi Jack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luiz Gonzaga.

Jack throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Gonzaga tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gonzaga has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Gonzaga is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jack is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Jack tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gonzaga wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Jack gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Jack is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gonzaga can do to turn this around?

Gonzaga is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Gonzaga takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jack feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gonzagas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Gonzaga is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jack.
Jack tries to land a front kick but Gonzaga steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Gonzaga changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jack tries to avoid it but Gonzaga manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jack to the ground. Jack escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jack has his foot on Gonzaga's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gonzaga works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jack is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Gonzaga asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Jack is trying to improve his position.
Luiz Gonzaga has got the better of the ground game so far.

Gonzaga is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Jack looks calm but he's in trouble here. Gonzaga gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Jack is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Gonzaga lets go of the hold and Jack can pop his arm back in it's socket.
