Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Webster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Webster has chosen Run to the Hills by Iron Madien as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dave Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Webster!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Webster misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Webster walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.


It looks like Ben Webster has been cut.
Webster misses with a two punch combination.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Webster avoids them all with ease.
Johnson connects with a single shot there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Webster closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Johnson quickly recovers to half guard.
Johnson is staying active underneath Webster, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Johnson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Webster pulls his head out easily.

Webster lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Johnson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Webster got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johnson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Webster has managed to get both his arms back between Johnson's legs - danger averted.
Johnson doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Johnson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Webster defends well.

Johnson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Webster stops Johnson from standing up.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
Webster distracts Johnson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Johnson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Johnson keeping moving, preventing Webster from controlling successfully.
Webster working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Webster's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Webster wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Johnson keeping full guard, as Webster tries to pass.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Webster content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Johnson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Webster stands up over Johnson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Webster is looking to stand up but Johnson won't let him.
Webster postures up in Johnson's guard and throws a big left but Johnson blocks it.
Webster content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Webster wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.
Webster lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Webster's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Webster trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Webster drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Webster jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Webster stands up from Johnson's guard - Webster perhaps looking for a knockout.
Webster looks to land a combination. Johnson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Webster shoots for a takedown but Johnson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Webster pushes Johnson up against the cage in a clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Johnson tries to circle away but Webster has him pinned against the cage.
Webster will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Johnson up against the cage.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Webster pulls guard successfully.
Johnson controls from within his opponent's guard.
Webster looking for a sweep. Not yet Webster, not yet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Webster avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ben Webster will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Ben Webster's cut.
That's time! Johnson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Webster changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to avoid it but Webster manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson to the ground. Johnson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Webster as he avoids it easily.

Webster shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Webster showed some decent athleticism there.
Webster throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Webster with the ground and pound but Johnson uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Webster wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.

Johnson is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Webster rolls with it to try and escape but Johnson cranks on the arm and Webster is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Dave Johnson!
