Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nestor Makhno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Bach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nestor Makhno has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nestor Makhno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Bach!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bach feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Makhno working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bach doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bach manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bach stays in close to Makhno's body and controls the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bach accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Makhno has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bach is working away from the top position though.

Bach won't allow Makhno to get back to his feet.
Bach postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bach wants to control from the top but Makhno keeps moving.
Bachis looking to pass into half guard but Makhno pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Makhno is in guard.

Bach fails with the takedown

and Makhno counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bach!
Makhno looking to control but Bach is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Makhno jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bach is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bach and Makhno has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Nestor Makhno has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Makhno is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bach is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Dan Bach is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Nestor Makhno showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bach has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
