The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johannsen throws a head kick but Gosdin moves out of range.
Gosdin pushes Johannsen away with a front kick.
Johannsen attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Gosdin lands a body shot.
A nice inside leg kick there by Gosdin. That's going to slow Johannsen down.
Gosdin ducks under a wild hook from Johannsen.
Gosdin fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Johannsen.
Johannsen thows a leg kick but Gosdin checks it
and Gosdin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gosdin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Johannsen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Johannsen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from Johannsen. Gosdin does a little dance to reset his feet.

Johannsen looks gassed!
Gosdin dips to his left and cracks Johannsen with an uppercut!
Gosdin scores with a jab to the jaw.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Gosdin.
Gosdin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gosdin lands with a thumping leg kick.
Gosdin scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Ryan Johannsen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gosdin connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Johannsen to the floor! Gosdin dives in looking for the finish!

Johannsen is rocked!
Gosdin passes to side control.
Johannsen is still in real trouble! Can Gosdin finish him?
Gosdin tries to score with some ground and pound. Johannsen controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Johannsen seems to have recovered his senses.
Gosdin controls the position.
The ground and pound from Gosdin seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Gosdin looks up at the clock and then as Johannsen takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gosdin smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
