Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Pavlinsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kegon Saratuwari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ivan Pavlinsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kegon Saratuwari!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pavlinsky has his takedown stuffed

and Saratuwari counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pavlinsky's guard now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Saratuwari is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Pavlinsky!
Pavlinsky is looking to improve his position but Saratuwari isn't that keen on the idea.

Saratuwari is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Pavlinsky to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Pavlinsky shrugs it off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Saratuwari misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Saratuwari throws a nice looking combination but Pavlinsky bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Saratuwari leaves Pavlinsky with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Pavlinsky is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Pavlinsky really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kegon Saratuwari was stalling too much, according to the referee.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kegon Saratuwari hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kegon Saratuwari wasn't active enough on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Saratuwari has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Saratuwari tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Pavlinsky holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Saratuwari tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Kegon Saratuwari showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Saratuwari stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Pavlinsky to get to his feet.

Saratuwari stands and steps away. Pavlinsky gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

It looks like Ivan Pavlinsky has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Saratuwari jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Saratuwari throws a right hand that Pavlinsky ducks under and follows up with a left that Pavlinsky also avoids with ease.

Saratuwari throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pavlinsky was covering up waiting for the punch and Saratuwari finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kegon Saratuwari hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Saratuwari bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pavlinsky's head backwards.

Saratuwari throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pavlinsky tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Saratuwari is in Pavlinsky's guard.
Kegon Saratuwari is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Saratuwari postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Pavlinsky to stand up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Pavlinsky gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Saratuwari to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Pavlinsky doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Kegon Saratuwari comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Saratuwari has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
