The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Kilimov. Those never looked like landing.
Kilimov throws a predictable looking body shot

and Maynard counters with a head kick that drops Kilimov to the mat! Kilimov scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Maynard avoids the body shot from Kilimov.
A chopping leg kick lands by Maynard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kilimov on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Kilimov is breathing heavily.
Kilimov shoots for a double leg takedown but Maynard sprawls well. He's pushed Kilimov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Good leg kick by Maynard there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Igor Kilimov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
