The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deathgrip dives in and grabs Nagayama's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nagayama pushes down on Deathgrip's head and hops out.
Deathgrip looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Nagayama throws a low kick but Deathgrip avoids it.
Nagayama looks to score with a jab to the body but Deathgrip is just out of range.
Nagayama ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Deathgrip moves away.
Nagayama stuffs the takedown attempt from Deathgrip. Deathgrip gets slowly back to his feet.
Nagayama fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Deathgrip looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Deathgrip avoids the body shot from Nagayama.
The fighters circling - Deathgrip throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nagayama thows a leg kick but Deathgrip checks it

and Deathgrip counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Deathgrip.

Deathgrip is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nagayama is just riding it out for now. Deathgrip eventually gives up the hold.
