Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joe Abbles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boot Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbles blocks a head kick by Head.
Abbles tries to close the distance and clinch up but Head swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Head throws a head kick that misses.

Abbles ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Head moves away.
Abbles is looking to clinch but Head is avoiding it.
Good leg kick by Head there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

A looping hook to the body misses from Abbles. Head does a little dance to reset his feet.

Head lands a head kick. Abbles smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

That kick from Head tenderised Abbles's leg. Abbles is trying to keep his angry face on.

Abbles lunges at Head with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Head's hand.

Boot Head showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joe Abbles.
Well Head has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
