Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erwin Warrior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida comes to the cage accompanied by Linkin Park - In The End. Warrior has chosen MONSTER as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Machida keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Machida lands a jab to the head.
Machida misses with a body kick.
Machida lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Machida tries to clinch up but Warrior circles away and keeps his distance.
Machida throws a nice looking combination but Warrior bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Machida swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Warrior.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Machida turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Machida throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Machida moves in looking to clinch but Warrior pushes him off.
Warrior displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

It looks like Lyoto Machida has been cut.
Machida connects with a body shot that sends Warrior's belly button to the back.
Machida lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Machida pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Machida drops Warrior with a big left hand and mounts him. Warrior is in big trouble!

Warrior is rocked!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Machida unloads with some shots from mount but Warrior bucks and avoids them well.
Warrior is still in real trouble! Can Machida finish him?

Machida trying to control but Warrior is having none of it.
Machida is really struggling to control Warrior but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Warrior tries to hold on but Machida postures up.
Warrior seems to have recovered his senses.
Warrior is trying desperately to improve position.

Machida wants to control but instead Warrior manages to regain half guard.

Warrior looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Machida wants to stand up but Warrior is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Warrior is trying to maintain the position but Machida is very close to passing his half guard.

Machida seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Warrior does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Machida wants to stand but Warrior has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Warrior is refusing to be controlled, as Machida sits in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Lyoto Machida just wasn't active enough.
The fight stays on the outside here - Machida looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Machida scoring well with a low kick there.

Machida instigates a clinch.
Warrior keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Machida's efforts to push away.

Machida breaks from the clinch.

Machida wants to break free but Warrior has control.

Machida pulls guard.
Warrior controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Machida keeping moving, preventing Warrior from controlling successfully.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Machida can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Warrior controls the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lyoto Machida dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A good leg kick by Machida.
Machida lands a nice looking body shot.
Warrior misses with a low kick.
Warrior drops his hands momentarily and Machida takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Machida looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Warrior.

Machida cracks Warrior with an uppercut from hell and Warrior crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Machida's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Warrior is breathing heavily.
Machida throws a strike but Warrior rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Warrior is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Warrior won't allow Machida to get back to his feet.
Warrior trying to control but Machida is working from the bottom.

Warrior drops back looking for a leg! Machida is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Machida manages to kick Warrior off! Warrior jumps back into Machida's guard.
Machida wants to stand up but Warrior is controlling him.

Machida avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Warrior trying to control but Machida is working from the bottom.
Machida is looking to stand up but Warrior isn't so interested in that idea.
Warrior trying to control the position from guard on top but Machida is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Machida is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Erwin Warrior hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Warrior changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Machida tries to avoid it but Warrior manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Machida to the ground. Machida escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Machida is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Machida with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Machida dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Warrior. That did some damage!
Machida fails in his attempt to clinch.
Warrior takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Machida buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Machida tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Warrior paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Warrior moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Machida is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Warrior can do to turn this around?
Machida scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Warrior walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Machida swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
