Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Niwa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Wolverine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Niwa throws a looping overhand right but Wolverine ducks down to avoid it.
Wolverine has his takedown stuffed
and Niwa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Niwa loads up on a big right hand but Wolverine slips the punch.

Wolverine uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Niwa.
Niwa thuds his right hand into Wolverine's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Michael Niwa.
I think Niwa has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
