Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Woods!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Knock Out!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Woods takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Out tries to sprawl but Woods drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Ground and pound from Woods.
Out blocking the ground and pound attempt from Woods.
Woods throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Woods lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Woods not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Woods throwing shots but Out is blocking nicely.
Out is looking to escape.
Woods looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Woods is working for a kimura but Out is defending it quite comfortably.
Woods thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Woods working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Woods tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Woods has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Woods goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Out rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Woods's guard! Nice work there by Out!
Out won't allow Woods to sweep him here.

Woods is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Woods escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Out gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Woods working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Out doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Out manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Woods is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Woods is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Out is aware though and is defending well.

Out slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Woods throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Out was covering up waiting for the punch and Woods finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Out manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Woods manages to get himself to full guard.

Woods working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Out doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Out manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Woods has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Out can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Woods looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Out has picked Woods up and slammed him! Woods can't keep hold of the triangle and Out manages to pass to side control!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Woods is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Out pulls his head out easily.

Out looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Woods is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Woods is working hard here to advance position.

Woods has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Woods flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Woods tries to get to full guard but Out has control of the leg.
Out is pressing down on Woods's thigh, looking to free his foot. Woods is holding on for now.
Woods wants to improve his position but Out is controlling well.
Woods is pressing down on Out's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Out is pushing down on Woods's leg trying to pass to half guard. Woods is fighting to maintain full guard but Out has managed to sneak the leg through.
Woods tries to roll over but Out keeps him under control.
Woods is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Out's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Out's back!

Woods lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Woods is punishing Out with some ground and pound.
Woods scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Out is looking for a way out.
Out is breathing heavily.

Out is trying to defend against the choke here but Woods has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Woods Tightens the hold and Out taps out furiously! Woods displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
