The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ibanz throws a combination that misses
and Bernados decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ibanz's guard.
Ibanz wants to stand and escape but Bernados is having none of it.
Bernados is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Bernados drops back looking for a leg! Ibanz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ibanz manages to kick Bernados off! Bernados jumps back into Ibanz's guard.
Ibanz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bernados. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bernados passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Bernados tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Bernados has hold of Ibanz's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Ibanz tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Bernados cranks the arm and Ibanz screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Ibanz, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
