Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doug Copley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Daw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Doug Copley has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Doug Copley seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daw tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Copley shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Daw as he jumps to the side.
Daw slaps away a takedown attempt from Copley, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Daw has closed the distance and engaged Copley in a clinch.
Daw with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Copley drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Daw gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Doug Copley. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Daw drops Copley with a big knee straight up the middle! Copley is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

It looks like Doug Copley has been cut.
Nice takedown defense from Daw. No joy for Copley on that attempt.
Copley shoots in but Daw avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Daw has Copley pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Copley is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Daw - that's hurt Copley badly! Oh, another knee lands and Copley is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Copley doesn't seem to be complaining.
