These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ward drops his shoulder and cracks Johnson with a huge uppercut! Johnson goes down! Can Ward finish him?

Johnson is rocked!

It looks like Bob Johnson has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ward trying to stand up but can't free himself from Johnson's guard.

Ward gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Johnson seems to have recovered his senses.
Ward throws the left hand but Johnson avoids the punch easily.
Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ward is breathing heavily.
Johnson connects with a body shot that sends Ward's belly button to the back.
Johnson fails with the takedown.

Johnson forces Ward back against the cage and clinches.

Johnson drags the fight down to the ground.
Johnson pulls Ward in close to his closed guard and prevents Ward from doing any damage or advancing position.

Johnson pushes Ward off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Ward clobbers Johnson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ward cracks Johnson with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Johnson falls to his knees and Ward doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
