Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Travis Barker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Ras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Travis Barker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Ras!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ras changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barker tries to avoid it but Ras manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barker to the ground. Barker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ras avoids the head kick by Barker.
Barker lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Ras closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Barker to the mat! Barker manages to get full guard.
Ras throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Barker works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ras accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ras throws a big right hand that misses.
Ras throws a strike but Barker rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Ras managing to control the position.
Ras tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Ras not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ras is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ras looks to land a strike but Barker avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Barker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ras on the ground.

Ras is looking to advance position but Barker has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Ras tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ras moves into full guard.

Ras bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Barker's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Barker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ras in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Ras wants to control from the top but Barker keeps moving.
Ras thows a big elbow that misses.
Ras tries to free his leg and advance position but Barker is retaining full guard.
Ras throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ras is working Barker over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ras keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Barker's head.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Josh Ras dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Ras shoots for a takedown but Barker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Barker needs to keep his hands up - Ras had a free shot at his head there.
Barker feints and then cracks Ras's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ras down.
Barker defending well as Ras loads up on a big left hand.
Ras shoots in but no luck this time.
Ras takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Barker throws a series of punches but Ras moves out of range.
Barker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ras moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Barker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ras looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Travis Barker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Ras.

Barker leaves Ras with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Barker is bucking up trying to escape but Ras cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Barker is looking to improve his position but Ras isn't that keen on the idea.
Ras wants to control the pace but Barker is squirming around nicely.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Ras tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ras somewhat.

Ras shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barker sprawls well. Barker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ras gets slowly back to his feet.

Barker shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ras eats them both and turns towards Barker to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Ras takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Ras dips to his left and cracks Barker with an uppercut!

And that's the end of the fight!
