The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mies scores with a one two! Madsen had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Mies shoots in for a double leg but Madsen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Mies drops down looking for an ankle pick but Madsen pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mies crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Madsen - the referee stops the clock and Mies gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Madsen. Mies manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Peeeers Mies's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Peeeers Mies's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
