The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Kaptiam. No joy for Nelson on that attempt.
Kaptiam throws a head kick but Nelson moves out of range.
Kaptiam throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Nelson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Nelson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kaptiam, who protects the arm well.
Kaptiam is looking to get back to his feet here but Nelson is keeping cool and he's managed to take Kaptiam's back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kaptiam is trying to get back to his feet but Nelson has full control of the position and if anything, Kaptiam has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Nelson has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Kaptiam is in real trouble here. Nelson gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Kaptiam is tapping out! Nelson wins by rear naked choke!
